You have a story to tell.
And you want to tell it well.
You have a cultural legacy to highlight.
And you wish to engage youth,
and the young at heart.
You have a historic tale or destination
to bring to life.
And you're hoping to harness the potential of the
smartphone or tablet to enable your audience
to interact with yesterday, today.
But can you do it? And can you afford to?
The answer is: Yes.
And with a decade of experience creating children’s digital media
now under my hat, I can help.
I understand how to marry the old with the new
— the traditional power of narrative and the magic of the touchscreen device —
to produce interactive content that hooks young people and holds their attention.

HERE'S HOW I WORK:
I engage all my clients—whether independent content creators or fully staffed cultural organizations—using the same five-stage process that guides us from project conception to completion, but is unique to your project. The first, or Discovery Phase, provides the foundation upon which all remaining phases and stages may reliably be constructed to ensure that your project is relevant and beloved by users and fans... from the moment you launch.
Depending on the complexity of your project, your available resources, and your budget, you may need me for all, or part, of this five-stage process. But it always starts with a thorough audit of both project and audience, which leads to a strategic project management plan, with milestones and goalposts strictly outlined. Then we're on to story creation, which I'm happy to critique or get more involved in with a developmental edit. Then we consider user experience design, which informs the production of graphic design and appropriate story-enhancing creative assets. Finally, we wire story and assets together to create one or more of the following products:
I'm ready to help you launch your story
from the page to the screen
as an interactive tale that
digital natives–and their parents–love.
Let's Make History Together.
"Sarah gave me superb advice and pointers as to what I need to do to get myself out there and make an impact. She took me through the first steps thoroughly and clearly. There are so many things you need to know in marketing your work as an author, and it can be very hard to get going. When someone already has that knowledge and guides you round the pitfalls, it makes all the difference."
Lucille Turner, Professor of Literature & Communications
Author of Gioconda
"For a digital immigrant like me, Sarah has been an invaluable guide. She is smart, energetic, trustworthy, friendly and diligent. Where else can you find an accomplished author, researcher, educator, public speaker, app creator and marketing trouble-shooter, all in one package? With Sarah clearing a path for you, no need to fear getting lost in the digital wilderness."
