We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch event for Crossing the Line: Finding America in the Borderlands with author Sarah Towle. Towle’s book tells the powerful story of events in El Paso that led to the exposure of the Trump administration’s family separations. Towle's captivating narrative shines a light and celebrates the efforts of human rights organizations that worked together in El Paso and throughout the country to stop the family separation operation.
Community members will have two opportunities to meet the author and learn about her book. Brave Books will host our event on October 15 at 6 pm. During this event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation with the author as she discusses the events in her book.
Also, join us on October 16 at 5 p.m. at the El Paso Community Foundation for a celebration of the amazing work done by the doctors of the Hope Border Institute's Clínica HOPE and an exclusive preview of the documentary "Running to Stand Still" by Academy Award nominee Bob Bilheimer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the inspiring work of HOPE and how our community has come together to respond to the needs of our migrant brothers and sisters.
We hope to see you there!
Mil gracias,
Aylín
