In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Mallett Art Gallery at Hartford’s Captial Community College presents “A Suspension of Perception,” photographs from CT-based artist Christine Breslin. In her series of large, up close, and personal immigrant portraits, paired with video interviews, Breslin gives viewers a chance to hear stories about journeying to the US from Mexico to South America.
On November 14, I am honored to join Christine to read from Crossing the Line with her beautiful images as a backdrop. A discussion concerning the human costs of US immigration policies and practices will follow, with me and Christine in conversation.
Everyone is welcome!
